The Thimble Islands Saxophone Quartet features music from Baroque to Contemporary, including music from the Jazz, Broadway, Rock and Popular idioms. This eclectic repertoire includes works from the chamber music, symphonic, choral and vocal traditions.  

The Thimble Islands Saxophone Quartet performs the classic repertoire with a fresh and dynamic style while respecting the standards and traditions of serious concert music. The Quartet's forays into Jazz, Broadway, Rock and Pop, illuminates the kinship that all great music, no matter what genre has in common.  

The saxophonist's that make up the quartet have an average of 30 years professional musical  experience. Founder, tenor saxophonist and composer Frank Vasi writes all the arrangements for the group. Audience comments after concerts expressed how familiar music sounded like it had originally been written for the saxophone quartet.  

The Quartet rehearses at the Church of Christ Congregational, in the shoreline town of Branford Connecticut, in the area known as Stony Creek. The name is taken from the Thimble Islands which the church overlooks.
